The following have been agreed with the Friends of Spondon Parks committee as the 2021 priorities for the group.

Other activities we will be supporting

Relaunch Linear Park

A new path is being constructed along the length of Linear Park.  As this completes FoSP would like to compliment this effort with community led improvements across the park. This can finish with a relaunch of the park within the community.

A fun puzzle trail that explores Spondon to solve an unsolved mystery.

Geo Caches on Spondon Parks

Add Geo Caches to the parks in Spondon.

FoSP Action Hours

FoSP are planning to run monthly action hours to get the community to help improve the parks in Spondon.  These will cover a variety of activities on the parks such as litter picking.

Fundraising for South Avenue Park

We are aiming to create a new play area on South Avenue Park in 2022.  This will need significant funding to create an excellent space for the community. Throughout 2021 fundraising activities would be completed to allow the park to be created.

Develop the southern end of Borrow Wood park so that it becomes a Nature Area offering a different environment on the park.
