Linear Park Rainbow Bridge

Linear Park Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbow Bridge on Linear Park has been a feature on the park for a number of years.  Recently the original artwork had faded and been repeatedly the victim of graffiti.

That when local resident and artist Carla approached FOSP to see if a new design could be put on to the bridge.  This was the start of an amazing project to give the Rainbow Bridge a new life.

After a few months of planning and preparing, the painting started in October 2021.  A few weeks later the bridge had been transformed into an amazing art work featuring all of Spondon.

We estimate that it took about 400 hours of work to complete this!  That is a significant amount of time volunteered by many members of our community!

Thank You!

Friends of Spondon Parks would like to thank the whole community for supporting this project.  The comments and feedback has been great!

A special Thank You has to go to the people who made this happen.  Top of the list is Carla Matthews, our artist who has done an amazing job!  She had a small team of friends and family who helped her throughout the project, our thanks goes to them too.
