Co-op Community Fund

Friends of Spondon Parks has been chosen for the next round of Co-op community funding.

This funding opportunity runs until 23rd October 2021 and gives our community an opportunity to raise much needed funds to support the redevelopment of the South Avenue park play facilities.


How will the funds be spent?

Our aim is to redevelop the play equipment on South Avenue park to provide a new modern play area for our community.

The existing play facilities on South Avenue are poor,  a seesaw and two bouncers are all that remain.

South Avenue park itself was originally purchased by the community as a memorial for those who fell in the Great War. 

The intention is to use the money raised through the Co-op Community Fund to support a redevelopment of the play area to give the local community a place to enjoy, play and relax, using the park as it was intended.

How does it work?

Rewards for you and your community
For every £1 you spend on selected Co-op products and services, 2p will go into your membership account. And Co-op will give the same amount to support community organisations and local causes.

You can also choose to donate your rewards.
